It had rare battles, but the ones it did have were excellent since they used the engine from Virtua Fighter. The world is massive and richly detailed, allowing you to explore freely. There’s minimal fighting, but plenty of activities to enjoy in Japan and later Hong Kong. It boasts an enormous number of mini-games—about a metric ton. It also came out before GTA 3, which gives a sense of its age and how eager Shenmue players have been for this long-awaited conclusion that felt like a cliffhanger from Shenmue 2.
I'm really excited about this game, almost like I'd buy a PS4 just for the hype. Still, I'll wait for reviews before jumping in. But I've become tired of writing forum threads, especially in the news section. I try to find duplicates and use Google with multiple keywords, but I always miss something. I've stopped focusing on news topics. Others can handle it and deal with the nonsense of choosing which thread stays or goes, etc. Now I mostly stick to off-topic chats and complaints, maybe about PC gaming.
Sony announced they are collaborating and contributing to the project's funding. Great news!
