I installed the new configuration for BF2042. The Beta version didn’t work well, and performance was poor. I’m hoping to reach 120 once the final release comes out. 3080ti/5900x
I upgraded my 2070 Super and 3700X to match the new consoles, aiming for compatible specs. Since Cyberpunk wouldn’t run at full power, I needed either a 3080 or a 90. I received a 3080 a few weeks after it launched, then later a 3080 Ti without much thought behind it.
It was a major upgrade for me—got a 4K screen, and my old one was no longer sufficient. I also wanted to dive into BF2042 because I really enjoy BF4. That led me to choose the 3080Ti.
I enhanced my rig with Metro Exodus, aiming for a high-end build starting from an i7 3960X with Vega64. I later upgraded to an R9 3900X paired with an RX 6900XT, which now supports Metro Exodus PC Enhanced at 3840x1080 with 144Hz—similar to the monitor I upgraded a few years ago.
