The performance doesn't feel smooth regardless of the settings, and it often drops below 120 while frequently settling around 80. I own an 8700k and a 1080ti, but neither is used above 50%, which seems unusual. VSync is disabled, G-Sync is enabled on a 165Hz monitor. Anyone know how to fix this?

Updated drivers? Also, what API does Doom use? Did you original create it? And do you have any other PCIe-related stuff?

I could switch from DirectX to Vulcan for your API, or do the opposite. It might work.

It's operating in an 8x PCIe slot, which doesn't appear to affect performance in both benchmarks and other games. Doom only supports Vulkan/OpenGL, and both of these have this problem. The GPU and CPU are heavily overclocked, and the drivers are current.

I discovered this razer chroma fix online and thought it was quite absurd. It seems to have been resolved.
