I own an Intel Core i5 10600K, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, one SSD, and standard RAM. I recently swapped in a new CV650 PSU. Before that, I used a CV450 and often experienced crashes or freezes during games. Will this replacement resolve the issue, or is there another factor at play? Please note if you need a more detailed spec summary—I’m open to suggestions. I’m testing the new PSU today and hoping it helps.

This occurs across various games, not just one specific title.

You meant the whole PC, not just the game.

usually these issues appear in most games such as Phasmophobia and Valheim. I set the controls to the lowest but the game still freezes while I can move and hear sounds. Rocket League, Osu! (the rhythm game), and Valorant function properly. Some titles like It takes two (Steam) just freeze and fail to load at startup. -hope this clarifies things though my explanation is unclear and the situation is confusing @RealFlameknight @Haraikomono

The power supply should work fine for the system. Run FurMark to see if it causes any issues. Then test DDU and update the drivers. Your RAM setup is 2x16GB and 4x8GB. XMP is currently not enabled.

I set up the latest PCU and plan to use two 16GB RAM sticks. I’ll give it a shot. Just finished a stress test and everything worked smoothly. @QuantumSingularity

It's the NVIDIA driver issue. I brought my PC back to the shop still under warranty, they stress tested it at full speed for 15 minutes and everything seemed fine except a tiny delay in RAM. After leaving it with them for a while, he checked it out. Ultimately, the only solution that prevented crashes was replacing my NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX2060 with a GIGABYTE version, which fixed it. He tried the original driver and it performed perfectly—even though he couldn't clarify why two nearly identical drivers produced such different outcomes, maybe compatibility was the reason. Fortunately, the fix didn’t cost anything. Still, I understand how frustrating it is for others who might need to purchase a new GPU.
