Hello, your experience sounds frustrating. The game works well for a short time but then slows down significantly, eventually freezing. It’s consuming about 18 gigabytes of your available 24 gigabytes. Since the game suggests needing around 8 gigabytes of RAM, it seems you’re running low on memory resources.

My knowledge about Garrys Mod is limited, but it seems built to accept user-generated content for download. That explanation makes sense if some stray file is causing trouble. If memory usage increases during play, the issue likely lies within the game itself. Would you like me to reinstall it without changes and see if it works?

One of the mods might be experiencing a memory problem. The suggested 8GB of RAM is for the game alone, not including mods. Because mods aren’t always thoroughly tested like the main game, there’s a chance they could have problems.

It seems the memory leak was likely from a mod server you were using. I wasn't sure which GMod game you played, but it probably wasn't TTT unless you were on a poorly optimized RP server.
