Hey there, I’m facing a serious issue with Arkham City lately. I’ve played this game for more than three years and haven’t seen anything like it. The game won’t open at all—whether I use the launcher, the .exe file, or any other method. No error messages appear, but the start screen just shows a small square on my desktop. It doesn’t transition to a black screen or display any warnings.

In the Windows log, I found these entries:
- Faulting application name: BatmanAC.exe
- Version: 1.0.0.0
- Time stamp: 0x00000000
- Module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0
- Exception code: 0xc0000005
- Fault offset: 0x902329ed
- Process ID: 0x161c
- Start time: 0x01d186b762aff4ed
- Path: F:\GAMES\Batman AC\Binaries\Win32\BatmanAC.exe
- Faulting module path: unknown
- Report ID: a4d260a7-f2aa-11e5-ba6a-d43d7e2be51c

It seems something is definitely wrong, but I’m not sure what’s causing it. I recently dealt with some trojans/malware and managed to remove them, yet this persists. Also, I installed a major Windows update recently. Could you help me figure out what’s going on? Is it related to the disk context or something else? Other games are working fine, though some sound issues appeared after the infection cleared—sound drivers were reinstalled and everything functioned properly then.
