Hey, I kinda feel like a dumby for having to ask this, but I can't seem to figure it out. I recently bought a new 5.1 surround sound set for my PC, it sounds awesome and all is well. Unfortunately when I play multiplayer games, the chat only comes through my headset and I can't hear anyone through the computers speakers. Does anyone know what needs to be done to make my mic on my headset only input and not output as well? All the settings I've tried haven't fixed it. Speakers are Logitech Z506 and headset is Razer Kraken 7.1.

Certain games select their own audio configurations, so please verify the sound settings within the game itself. Additionally, review the game's online forums, as users might have identified solutions there, including modifying .ini files. A straightforward adjustment within the game’s options could also resolve the issue.

After examining my audio configurations, I verified that my headset was selected as the input and my computer’s speakers were designated for output. Furthermore, I adjusted the in-game audio settings to utilize the speakers as the playback device and checked my Realtek Audio control panel, ensuring all outputs were directed to my speakers. However, the game’s player voices still aren't appearing through the speakers—that's the issue.

Certain games automatically select their audio output, so please review the sound configurations within the game itself. Additionally, consult online forums where users may share solutions, such as modifying .ini files or adjusting in-game settings.
