I started playing Arma 3 today, and it’s completely silent – which is really frustrating because everything was working perfectly yesterday. I checked the game cache files, and Steam also validated the common redistributables when I ran the validation tool. I even reinstalled my motherboard drivers, but that didn't fix anything. Other games and videos play just fine, it’s only Arma that has no sound at all. I’ve tried removing all of my mods and playing the game without them, but nothing seems to work so far. It’s a real letdown since I recently upgraded my PC specifically for this game. Any help would be amazing!

I was thinking I should have mentioned… I’ve got my computer connected to the TV, and I read that might be causing the problem. When I tried using headphones, I realized it had to be because I *do* get sound when I plug them directly into the PC. So, is there a way to route the Arma audio through the TV instead? Everything else seems to be working fine, but Arma just isn’t playing up.

I’ve found a quick workaround for anyone else running into this issue – I just turned off Realtek Digital Audio, and it seems to be fixed…at least for my system.
