The G920 steering wheel resets upon pressing any pedal.
The G920 steering wheel resets upon pressing any pedal.
The title accurately describes the situation. Even without playing anything, pressing the pedals causes the wheel to start calibrating. I attempted to use it in games like City Car Driving and Assetto Corsa, but it's really frustrating—I can't drive for long without restarting the G920. I've tried almost every software solution, suspecting a hardware issue, and have videos available if needed.
Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information.

New G920? Where it was bought?
If feasible, test the steering wheel on another functional computer.
Try a different working steering wheel on your device.
Check whether the restart issue is specific to the G920 or persists across systems.
What software options have you explored?
I thought the issue wasn't related to the PC, it's all about the pedals, I don't know what exactly in them but they just restart the steering wheel.
G920 I got from my cousin he had it for 3 years and it was just sitting around so I took it. Nope, restarting doesn't fix the problem because it's hardware-related.
I tried Unistalling G-Hub (installing an older version, just reinstalling), I calibrated the wheel, tried different games with the same steering wheel.
Anyway I'm going to try a different pedal and will keep you updated, for now here are some possible causes for this problem?
Three plus years old - correct? Probably a history of heavy use...
This racing wheel?

Possible causes:
My idea is that there might be a bad connection or worn wire somewhere in the G920 pedals.
When the G920's pedals are pressed, it can cause a short circuit and the computer crashes or restarts.
This could result from a mix of pedal presses and/or other steering wheel actions.
Using a multi-meter and conducting careful testing while the G920 isn't connected might help locate the short circuit.
I found a schematic but I'm not sure it's enough for this kind of troubleshooting.

After trying different pedals, make sure to share your findings.
The issue isn't with the pedals, it seems to come from my PC or the steering wheel (G920). I'm going to test it on another PC to check if it works.
It seems the issue was with the LED switch creating a short circuit. When I turned it off and reinserted the G920 (with USB and power adapters), everything functioned properly.
