I've been using my 6300 for a while at 4.0 on the stock cooler without any issues. Recently, I switched to a Hyper 212 and am planning a more serious overclock. I adjusted some parameters—CPU-Z reports a variable clock speed (1500-4500mhz at idle) and fluctuating voltage (1.440 to around .9). When under full load, the voltage drops to about 1.303, and I'm keeping it at 1.45 in BIOS. All settings are disabled except the load line. I'm confused about what's happening and wondering if Windows or BIOS might be affecting the readings. Could there be something I'm missing?

It's an ASUS board. After some experimentation, turning on line leveling resolved the issue. I plan to continue testing and share my final settings once I achieve a stable overclock.

So I left the multiplier unlocked, but under load vcore drops from 1.46 to around 1.34... What's going on?
