It functions well for you. If you're dissatisfied with the current performance, upgrading to the Ryzen 5 1600 AF is highly recommended—just ensure you have a compatible motherboard and sufficient memory.
You already possess it, so the decision comes down to that. Are you satisfied? If yes, then why not. I won’t suggest the FX series to anyone for purchase.
depends on how much detail you need in the game, for more demanding titles you might not use the highest graphics settings but could try low or medium if that works for you. Don’t adjust the CPU settings, and yes, the Ryzen 5 1600 AF brings significant modern advancements. Swapping it for a Ryzen 5 is similar to moving from a PS3 to a PS4.
I’ve reached the decision that my FX 6300 + RX 570 is severely impacting game performance, especially at 60 fps. I’ll hold off until I encounter more issues with newer titles. Thanks for the responses!
I'd expect it should be totally fine. Just last week I finally upgraded my i7-3770K from 2011 to a Ryzen 5 3600, and the difference was really only noticeable in games like SWBF2 and BFV. where my framerates on my 1660 Super were fine, but now there's just less stutter at the start of missioins when there's alot of loading going on.
