Yesterday I increased my FX-6300 to 4.2Ghz @ 1.3v, and it functions properly. However, I’m not confident about the motherboard, as I’ve read many online warnings about this type of motherboard being unreliable for long-term overclocking. Is it safe to keep running it without risking damage to the board eventually?

When temperatures reach 55c it appears acceptable.
Expect smooth operation without complications.
But if you often face difficulties, try boosting to 4.0Ghz or 4.1Ghz.
