The friend's computer briefly turned green.
I assembled this machine for a friend’s sibling in December 2024. It has worked well so far, except for occasional green flickering. It’s only been running recently and hasn’t had any other issues. They use it nonstop from morning to night. The components are a Ryzen 5 2600, an MSI Armour RX 580, 8GB B450M DS3H, 16GB RAM at 3200MHz, a 500GB NVMe SSD, and a 550W PSU. No troubleshooting has begun yet, but we’re unsure where to begin—any advice would be great. Thanks!
The simplest step would be to verify the display cable is firmly connected and in good condition.
Check the display cable or the port on the monitor/graphics card. Use a different cable and try another port if you can. The issue might also come from the monitor itself. It doesn’t seem like the GPU is the problem, as artifacts would appear differently. You might need to reinstall the driver.
