I put in a new CPU, an i7-14700k, but frame drops only happen in Cod6. Other games like Valorant, Expedition 33, Dune Awakening run smoothly. My frames stay stable otherwise. I reduced all settings yet it still drops from 160 FPS to 40. Updated drivers and an i5-14600k worked fine before. No advice on what to try next? I also tested Fortnite but the same issue appeared, with noticeable spikes in CPU and GPU during gameplay.

Your idle and load temperatures are worth reviewing. There might be a thermal concern with COD specifically. It’s also good to verify the Intel Default Profile in the BIOS, as this board may not offer that setting. Just a note, the B660M DS3H DDR4 isn’t ideal when paired with a 14700K—no overclocking, limited VRMs and power delivery, and there are known performance problems with certain CPU generations (14700K and above) where E-cores struggle. Even if it can be resolved without a replacement, I suggest opting for a Z690 or Z790 board instead.
