Your perspective? I don't believe it's fully Alpha, it could still be pre-Alpha. By the time Beta arrives, the game will probably have few bugs left.
Sure, BF4 was the version they released to players. The Forest page warns that the game is still in pre-alpha and not fully finished.
I have The Forest, it was given to me by a friend of the devs. I played around with it, but there really isn't much to do. It looks pretty, and the animations are very well done, but the gameplay just isn't there. I've been telling people that unless you want to support the development, it's not a real fun alpha to play more than once.
