I've followed the steps and I downloaded Etcher for Windows and tried all the versions none of them works when flashing onto my USB and I'm not sure why or if there's something I'm meant to do first to the USB or something and would like some help please, any questions please ask and thank you very much for helping.

That USB drive seems to be damaged or not working properly.

If you mean total lack of protection I strongly disagree, because Windows Defender is usually enough depending on your activities. For me, staying safe online means I avoid risky or unusual internet parts and I regularly check my drives with malwarebytes. If you often go to more dangerous areas, you should upgrade to a premium antivirus or add another layer of protection unless your system performance drops noticeably.

Additionally, Defender didn’t detect Etcher, making it a straightforward solution since you didn’t see any alerts.

It's true I've been testing Linux Mint and I really like it, though I still use Windows for gaming because of compatibility needs.

You enjoy playing games that don't require running, often amazed when people mention issues on Linux since they haven't encountered them before. Most modern titles function smoothly with the latest proton experimental/GE updates. P.S.: I'm not pushing the boundaries of Arch tinkering—I stick to Debian stable!
