You noticed Windows clearly recognizes my wheel after installing drivers and updates. The issue remains that no other program identifies it as a controller—steam, online testers, Dirt 4, or anything else. When using the Fanatec control panel, it crashes before loading and won’t run again unless the PC is restarted. I’m stuck and looking for advice. I’ve tried running the control panel in Windows 7 compatibility mode, since much of this is from that era, and the firmware updater needed it.
This highlights the main problem. Completely remove the app, maybe with REVO or a comparable tool to erase everything, then reinstall and see if it works again.
The app works with the available drivers, so you can proceed.
