The fan on your ROG-Strix-X570-F seems inactive.
Hey there! I just wrapped up my new build and everything is functioning properly. The issue I found was with the chipset-fan on my ASUS ROG-Strix-X570-F mainboard—it doesn’t seem to be spinning. I also saw a "M2_fan connector" listed in the manual, but I didn’t connect anything because I thought a fan directly on the board wouldn’t need wiring. Do I actually have to connect something for it to work? And why is there this connector at all? With the layout of the board, it’s hard to figure out where to add an extra fan for the M2 SSDs, which are already under a heatsink. Take care, Yme!

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! Now I fully understand it.
I haven’t tested the temperature yet. I just saw the fan wasn’t running. I’ll look again tonight and update you. You also have an M2 SSD and a powerful GPU, which means the chipset fan overlaps a bit. How crucial is this fan really? If it doesn’t spin much, it might not matter much.
It will likely be controlled by fan settings. While you can't really design a custom curve or profile, most X570 models come with standard options like normal, silent, and aggressive. This seems to be the usual setup for these vehicles.
