The Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition presents difficulties with its text.
I chose to reinstall Fallout: New Vegas and begin playing it. Upon launching the game, I was unexpectedly presented with a Russian interface, so I researched online and followed instructions to resolve the issue, specifically removing a file named falloutnv_lang. After this, the game functioned correctly, with menus appearing in English. However, when I initiated a new game, the opening movie subtitles remained in Russian, and subsequently, all item names displayed in the game were also translated into Russian—the vigor machine’s name was even Russian. Surprisingly, Doc Mitchell's subtitles were in English, and character creation utilized the English language. How can I resolve this to ensure everything is displayed in English? Thank you.
I haven’t engaged with the game since 2011, and so I chose to revisit it. It functioned adequately back then; honestly, I’m unsure what shifted.
I recently attempted a language update from NMA, but it failed to install correctly. Therefore, I might revert the game to an earlier version and test that update instead.
Now I understand that only the downloadable content is not in English, so I need to address that.
