No joy.
Took a memory stick out and now no longer restarts, gpu fan is spinning but no display

Have you tested both RAM sticks in slot A2 individually? You might also consider using a different known good power supply. This will determine if your PSU is functioning properly or not. If the issues disappear, it indicates the original PSU was the problem. If they resolve, the PSU itself may be the cause.
