The EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra appears to run very hot during idle.
The GPU appears to be operating at a high temperature during idle, averaging around 55°C to 60°C. There seems to be no overheating from the CPU cooler, and all drivers are up to date with background processes closed. This suggests the issue might be related to ambient conditions or cooling setup rather than a fault in the GPU itself.
It seems like most of these units are Evga 3080s. My 3080 FTW3 runs at similar temperatures. If you choose the “fan curve control” option and pick “quiet” from the menu, applying it should bring it down to around 50 degrees. You could also try a custom curve—stock isn’t quite right for me.
