The Ethernet splitting issue has been resolved.
Hello, you and your friend have just settled into a university house with computers in each room. The first floor houses the internet hub, while your rooms are on the second and third floors. You both needed Ethernet connections, so you connected a single cable from the hub to your rooms via a splitter. From that splitter, one cable reaches your PC and another goes to your friend’s room, which is also connected through a splitter. One splitter feeds the PS4 and the other to your computer. The issue appears to originate from the splitter in your room. If you disconnect the cable going to your friend’s room, the internet works; if you disconnect the one for your PC, the internet also works. It seems something is wrong with the splitter itself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Splitter product used: (link provided).
