The Ethernet cable appears to be damaged.
Hi, last week I was installing my Ethernet cable inside the wall and accidentally put my ladder on top of it. When I stepped away, I noticed it had flattened (though I gently adjusted its shape). It didn’t seem too serious, and since it was the final part of my two-hour project, I kept going. The internet performance was normal, just like before. I’m curious if this kind of damage might affect speed or stability? Even though there were occasional pings and loss spikes a few times a day (likely due to the provider), it doesn’t seem to be a major issue. So unless you notice anything unusual, it probably isn’t a concern.
Perhaps attempting to use 10 gigabit Ethernet through it would work. A standard Gigabit or 2.5 gig connection in a home environment should function properly.
