Yesterday Windows 10 performed a major update that reinstalled the operating system. Initially everything appeared normal, but I noticed my two-monitor configuration stopped functioning properly. It was configured as a duplicate, with monitor 2 as the primary and 1 as secondary. In DISPLAY SETTINGS I attempted to revert to duplicate, extend, or show only on one, but it failed completely—displaying only on monitor 2 without success. It seems Windows behaves similarly, prompting a confirmation dialog that disappears once the changes are applied. I tried installing the latest NVIDIA driver via DDU and rolling back to an older version, but nothing resolved the issue. The only solution that worked was disconnecting one of the displays, allowing me to connect the desired monitor and swap cables if needed. What should I do now?

I was really smart so I started by running the "device cleanup" and removing the old versions of Windows and the installation files. Yeah, I'm like that person Undecided
