The dual monitors are shutting down and audio is cutting out.
I own a custom-built PC from Xotic and have been using it since acquiring it. When playing a game on one monitor while having the browser open elsewhere, both monitors go black and sound stops. The only solution to restore them is to reboot the computer. I have reset and reinstalled the graphics card drivers. Performed a scan to verify there are no corrupt files, checked the monitor cables as well as adjusted the monitor settings for refresh rate and resolution. Also tested the power supply unit, but nothing has resolved the issue so far. For additional details, I know that if the browser remains open, the monitors won’t go black. I’m aware it might not be possible to use both at once, but some games, like D4, utilize the browser during builds while leveling. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I have updated and reinstalled drivers for the graphics card. Using DDU? NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X - Upgrade from GT 1030. EVGA 1600W POWER SUPPLY UNIT is the brand, while the advertised wattage is 16000W. What model is your PSU? MSI MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI is mentioned. Are you running BIOS version X for your motherboard? A 2TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD upgrade from 512GB was performed. Did you do a clean install after the upgrade? The thread was moved from the Displays section to the Systems section.
D4 refers to Diablo 4 with leveling as the primary focus. Once the monitor is running the game and the other one is open in Firefox with maxroll enabled, it can assist in demonstrating optimal point placement for attacks. I've examined the event viewer, which indicates I had to restart the PC by pressing the power button, but no warnings or problems were reported during that period. I plan to check the reliability history/monitor to determine if this approach works. TokenBad
