What kind of version are you looking at? The one you showed doesn’t match what I’ve seen before. That day it was the real F4 update, not F2—how could that be?

The F7 version mainly supports Optane and locks you out of older BIOS versions if problems arise. Since you won’t be adding an Optane module and the upcoming updates (F8 and F9d) just tweak CPU microcode for security fixes, upgrading now isn’t necessary. You can safely stick with the current BIOS version up to F5. When you boot up, press DEL or similar to access BIOS settings, and it will show your current version. You can also check your BIOS from Windows using tools like Aida64, CPU-Z, or HWinfo.
