Deleting the drivers file on Windows would likely cause issues, but it wouldn’t automatically reload default drivers on the next boot. The system might reinstall them during startup, depending on settings and updates.

What kind of drivers you're referring to? Motherboard drivers or something else?

Directory structure on the system shows drivers located at that path.

Consider testing it and seeing how it works. Share your thoughts once you're done rebuilding. Keep in mind, the second option is a proper method to reload a driver in Windows. The first approach isn't recommended.

These are the methods Windows employs. Removing them would likely eliminate any backup options available.

Windows has enough intelligence to prevent the removal of essential files without significant adjustments.

This came from a recovery stick, so I think I could manage permissions and remove files. Thanks for the details. I experienced a BSOD that wouldn’t resolve, couldn’t access Windows to uninstall a driver—most people blame a graphics driver—but I was curious if deleting the sys32 driver file would help. Also, I had to clear the Windows app folder because it prevented system restore from working.
