Hello everyone, I recently purchased a new Gigabyte 240GB SATA SSD about three months ago. It functioned perfectly initially. Boot times began to lag, but adjusting certain settings helped restore normal performance. Recently, about two weeks ago, I experienced significantly slower startup times, often taking 25 to 35 seconds. Despite trying various solutions—switching power modes, disabling fast startup, tweaking the paging file, updating drivers, replacing cables, and defragmenting—I haven’t seen any improvement. The drive’s health remains at 100%, which is normal for a brand-new SSD. Please let me know if you have any advice. Also, note that I replaced my old 120GB Samsung 860 EVO drive with this new one, which had poor health over time.

I don't have a physical storage device, so I don't have an age for a hard drive.

You experienced the same issue last year, even with SSD installation. After some time, Windows took longer to load and performance declined. With two HDDs connected, removing one improved boot speed significantly. This suggests that a failing or slow HDD can delay the entire startup process, as Windows waits for all storage devices to load completely. Since your SSD is new and appears functional, the problem likely lies with the HDD slowing down. Try disconnecting the HDD from the motherboard via SATA and see if it loads faster now.

I purchased my HDD and SSD together on the same day. The HDD looks almost brand new.

No, I didn't stop the startup apps. Let me know if you need anything else.
