Hi! Your computer seems to have some tricky issues. It’s an old Optiplex 9010 with a mix of hardware upgrades—ram, HDD, and Windows versions. The recent problems suggest possible disk errors or corruption. You’ve already tried reinstalling Windows, changing the installation drive, and using a repair disk, but nothing seems to work. It might help to check the physical drives for damage or try a factory reset if possible. If you’re unsure, consider consulting a professional technician to avoid further damage.

Did Windows 7 come from the hard drive you purchased, or another section of your original storage? Which drive held those files, and where is the operating system installed? What kind of issue are you encountering?

It originated from the primary hard drive (mother-in-law's). Initially ran Windows 7, later upgraded to Windows 10.

the hard drive was split into recovery and another partition. i put the operating system in the recovery section. both the files and the os are on the same drive, but in different partitions. the issue is "unpacking failed."
