The division oversees the bug management.
Hello once more, dedicated PC lovers. I'm unsure if this is the correct section for my post, but I'm currently hanging from the ceiling, so please don't mind... My problem now involves Ubisoft's latest game, The Division. I keep getting a left input in the game, which ruins any enjoyment. As you can see, my character walks left and graphics elements shift accordingly. It seems to reset when I press ESC during the menu but reappears near the graphics settings. I'm puzzled about the cause since I just reinstalled everything a few minutes ago—except the SSD, which was formatted, leaving the HDD untouched. The buttons displayed look like an Xbox controller, but they switch to PC controls instantly when I press keys or hold a mouse button. This feels like a controller issue, though I haven't connected that device since the reinstall. All other games function normally. Kindly assist... Edit: I also tried running the game on a laptop and the controls worked perfectly.
So somehow this only worked after the second attempt and it finally fixed things: open Device Manager, check hidden devices, remove all controller drivers. (I found this solution online and wasn't sure if I discovered it, but I'm just trying to assist fellow players.) This should help in other games too, at least according to my theory, which seems to be dealing with odd inputs. It could be because of corrupt drivers or something similar, but the main point is that removing them might resolve your issue. Even if not, you can reinstall them later without causing damage. Thanks for the feedback and hoping it helped someone. Have a great day!
