Hi, I have been dealing with this issue since summer, kind of an ongoing situation, but at this point i could really use some help. First let me describe the problem that I keep running into: The error can happen while idling or being under load, although ive noticed that it happens a bit too often to be a coincidence about 10 seconds after I close a game. All of my monitors go black (all of them are plugged into my gpu if that matters), I sometimes can still hear sound through my headphones(game or discord call for example, to be noted that people cant hear me on discord while im in the black screen even if i hear them), the pc doesnt react to anything, very rarely the pc will restart itself after a minute or two if i let it sot there, but usually it keeps on going like nothing happened and the only way out is holding down the power key. Usually the black screen is spontaneous but sometimes the pc slows to a crawl for a few seconds before the black screen. First time i encountered this error was in the summer a week or so before i left for vacation. At first it happened once, and i didnt think anything of it, but it got more and more frequent, and on the day of my departure the pc wouldnt stay on basically at all, but i didnt have the time to fix it. When i came back the pc magically worked perfectly for about 3 weeks. Then i had a black screen once, and the rate picked up like last time. I figured maybe its the dust, I hadnt cleaned my pc in over a year. That fixed the issue for about a month, then the crashes came back growing ever more frequent. I figured i didnt clean it well enough. This time the black screens came back a lot faster than before. I had a new theory. Maybe its because my windows installation is about 3 years old and its on my ancient 8 y/o SSD, so yesterday I reinstalled windows onto my relatively new M.2. I was confident it would help, but it had no effect whatsoever. While I havent done a deep clean to my pc its not nearly as dusty as it was while it was running fine, so im kina lost on what to do. Maybe theres some dust stuck somewhere short circuitting something? Idk. Neither the CPU not the GPU overheat, never seen anything above 75C. Especially since the thing can black screen on me while idling i doubt its due to thermo throttling. These are my specs: Ryzen 7 3800X - not overclocked 32GB DDR4 Crucial Ballistix 3600 MHz quad channel Asrock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac RTX 3060 - not overclocked Corsair TX550M Samsung 970 Evo Plus - windows installation, 3 years old Crucial MX500 525GB SSD - Quite old, was a part of my first build 2 HDD Windows 10 64 bit The BIOS version is "American Megatrends Inc. P1.10, 09/06/2020" Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you for reading and have a nice day.
