I was planning to modify an A8-6600k. I added overdrive and used prime 95. The overdrive multiplier was adjusted to 44, then raised to 45 and saved. My monitor went dark briefly, only briefly displaying the cursor, login screen, or distorted desktop. After a restart, everything worked again. This suggests 45 might be too high, even if it's just slightly higher, or there could have been an error.

I observed improvements in some cases, so I aimed higher than 4.9. I thought I could raise it to around 100MHz, though it seems I wasn't lucky enough.
