The DirectX installation failed.
I'm trying to set up DirectX 9 on my Win2k system. I've transferred the files from a CD, but when I try to install via the installer, nothing happens. I can run it from the command prompt or see no activity in Task Manager. The installer service is active, and I attempted to fix the OS installation from the CD. It seems like a standard Win2k setup with DirectX 7, using the official chipset and Intel Extreme Graphics 2 drivers from the manufacturer's hardware. My machine is a Dell B110 with a stock Celeron D processor (currently) and 2GB DDR-400 RAM. What should I do next?
