You might notice a noticeable boost in performance when upgrading from 4800MHz to 3200MHz RAM.

The 4800MHz unit will cost roughly $200 extra. Opt for the viper steel 4400MHz C19 kit and aim for about 3733 C14 under clock.

I assume you're referring to memory. The chipset officially supports only 2933 MHz, though overclocking can push it higher. The main gains come from increased memory bandwidth, which doesn't directly affect FPS. You're looking for 3600–3800 MHz RAM with the smallest possible CAS latency. A 3600 CL16 would be a solid choice and is currently quite affordable.

Running at 4800MHz isn't possible just by turning on XMP. The improvement would likely be around 5% in average performance.

Recognize that these sets support up to 4800MHz but are only verified for certain motherboards. They also require a high-quality memory controller on your CPU. If you lack all three, expect difficulty reaching those speeds even with XMP enabled.

If the HyperX 48 00MHz is unsuitable, consider alternatives. For RAM options without price limits, look into high-performance sticks like the Corsair Vengeance LPX or G.Skill TR4, which offer better speeds and stability for demanding tasks.

Choosing a $150 kit over burning the rest offers a visual reward. You can purchase 3200 CL14 Samsung B-die 16GB units for $100 now, or opt for 4400 CL19 or similar B-die options for a bit more. Still, it seems you might be misunderstanding the impact of memory on actual performance. Also, you haven’t shared your intended use for the system or the other parts you’re using besides the Z490i.
