hello folks, just a small question, with the new AMDs launching some of the Intels seem to be getting cheaper and so i was curious if you folks could tell me what the difference of the i7 10700k and kf skew processor is? i might be able to do an upgrade and since i havent gotten a confirmation back from NZXT that they got an am4 bracket available for my AIO i figured i might as well just consider an i7 thanks!
KF lacks built-in graphics, so adjust your CPU selection to fit within the cooling case. Consider switching to another cooler or opt for the stock AMD model (only the 5600 supports it).
What board version are you using now? If you don’t have a B460/Z490, an AMD option will be more affordable. If you do, the 10700KF is a good choice. It doesn’t include an integrated GPU like the 10700K, which is why it’s called the F model.
the updated AMD ryzen 5 is priced a bit higher than the i7 10700kf, while my nzxt x61 offers better looks and stronger performance compared to the default amd cooler. why would anyone pick the amd option even if it’s only slightly more efficient?
Which country do you reside in? I’m happy to assist. The Ryzen 5 5600X probably won’t cost an extra $100 unless the 10700KF is near $200–$250, which seems typical. Also, a decent Z490 board will be more expensive than one that supports AMD.
the price of a z490 board is around 325. a 250-350 z490 board would cost roughly 575-675. if you have savings or find a better deal, you could buy a scythe fuma ii with the money saved. alternatively, you might need to adjust your expectations for the i7 10700kf.
