I suspect the issue relates to the graphics card, as the chime appears only when gaming. It seems the graphics driver confirms anti-lag is active. The sound comes through the motherboard instead of the sound card because I’m using a driver that sends system beeps to the motherboard speaker (BeepXP64). This method lets me play beep tracks via Bleeper Music Maker. It’s odd, but if you want to stop system beeps, you can install the driver and remove the motherboard speaker.
