The device is shutting down for safety reasons.
Hey, I was just watching a YouTube livestream when it stopped working suddenly—no shutdown, just the computer just shut down abruptly. It happened a few minutes ago, and after checking my power outlet, everything seemed normal once I unplugged and plugged it back in. My machine is a Dell OptiPlex 790 SFF.
The probable reasons are overheating or a PSU protection activating. Do you have HWInfo64 set up to monitor CPU and component temperatures? Have you recently removed dust from your PC, such as from the PSU? Also, have you verified that the fans are functioning properly?
Consider reviewing the Windows Event Log for any entries that might point to the issue. Check the system logs for clues about what could have triggered the problem.
This display isn't the sensor screen for temperatures—it just shows system details. When HWInfo64 begins, select the option "Sensors only" to view temperature data.
