Hello! I have an old notebook with an ExpressCard slot and Windows 7. I installed a USB 3.0 card using the FL1100 chip into this port. The card is recognized and Windows uses the original drivers. However... the card gets extremely hot and stops working. The USB flash drive also fails, and DeviceManager shows errors like "This device cannot start (Code 10)" all the time. But when I boot from a bootable CD with Windows 10, everything works perfectly! The hardware seems fully functional. I've tried many solutions without success: turning off power management in BIOS, using another card, updating drivers, reinstalling USB controllers, checking registry filters, and following guides from Lifewire and Google. Still no fix. PS: A full migration to Windows 10 isn't an option. Any ideas?
