My device becomes unresponsive during gaming sessions, yet audio playback persists. Certain games frequently terminate unexpectedly. I'm unable to determine the root of this issue. System temperatures remain consistent.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 1080 Ti (11GB)
Intel Core i7-8700k
16 GB DDR4 3000 RAM
Z370-E Motherboard
850 Watt Power Supply Unit
Windows 10 Professional

Check your graphics card’s performance using GPU-Z with the rendering test feature. If it crashes, identify which driver is being used and try utilizing the operating system’s generic driver to determine if that causes a crash.

It’s possible the difficulty lies not with your equipment, but with the game's program itself.
Attempt to check if the game files are complete and undamaged.
Determining the cause of this problem is challenging.

Unfortunately, this appears to occur in several games, although not every single one. I will attempt to address it nonetheless!

Moving forward—the amount of memory and processing power my graphics card and central processor utilize, even when set to maximum detail in these games, remains below 80%. I have also attempted running the same games with their lowest settings, but these freezes persist.

May I ask you for the names of the games you have been testing?
Cheers.

Recently, both Divinity Original Sin 2 and Rust have caused my computer to freeze. Divinity is a relatively light game, and my hardware should be capable of running Rust with maximum graphics settings. Furthermore, I’ve attempted to play these games at their lowest configurations as I previously indicated. Additionally, Apex Legends now experiences crashes, though it doesn't result in freezing my system.

It appears there might be a problem with your graphics card driver. Have you increased the clock speed of your GPU, or is it operating at its default settings?

Check your graphics card’s performance using GPU-Z's rendering feature. If it crashes, determine which driver is being utilized. You could then attempt to utilize the operating system’s generic driver to see if that causes a crash.
