I have a uhm... troubleshooting problem with my pc. I create several topics asking for help! Build my first pc. Comments: Cpu: ryzen 5600x Motherboard: msi b550 a pro Gpu: msi 3070 ti supreme x Ram: g.skill ripjaws dual 16gb Storage: nvme inland 2t, high read and wrights speeds 4000-5000 Psu: antec hcg 650w 80+ gold Case: p400a I dont know why its not working. There is no power no lights when i click case power button. I made sure every thing is plug in. Then I even updated my motherboard bios to the latest version, named it MSI.ROM to the file, formatted to fat32, red light flashing and their was a white light to the right, gave a few minutes and the white light remained, thought it was done and unplug the usb. With everything plug in, 24 pin, cpu 8 pin, 2 pcie 8 pin, and the tiny power pins in, hit the power button, still no power what so ever. I check if psu if it works even though it was able to power the motherboard for bios update, i checked the psu, by pluging in a paper clip into the 24 pin where it should go and the the fans did spin on the psu. Now i don't know why nothing wants to power on. I am sure that i plug in the 24 pin, cpu 8 pin, 2 pcie pin into the gpu, and the case pins for power, even the fans in all correct, yet still nothing powers on. No fans spins, no lights, nothing. I am extremely upset at the problem i yet to understand, please help!
What lights appeared during the supposed BIOS update attempt? These situations don’t match. Note: avoid repeating this question for the same issue.
Confirm that the device isn't powered on via the main switch. Use a screwdriver to connect the power pins and check for faults. Re-run the BIOS update and verify each step is accurate. If unsuccessful, consider performing an RMA on the motherboard. This is my most likely approach if other options aren't available—use a spare PC to test the parts.
Bright flashing signal near the BIOS panel and on the opposite side of the motherboard emitted a pale white glow. After pausing for a moment, I realized the red light had ceased flashing and only the white remained. That’s when I removed the USB and reassembled the computer, connecting it again each time with the same issue—maybe the same root cause. I’m planning to rebuild my system three times and apply the latest BIOS updates twice more.
