My Dell G15 isn't turning on. It was put to sleep while charging one night, but when I tried to power it up the next day it wouldn't work. No BIOS changes, no lights, nothing appears. I've tried several fixes: new cord, pressing the power button, holding it for 15 seconds, then plugging in and trying again. Left it charging overnight and pressed F12 while holding the button. Still nothing. It's a new laptop, possibly a year old, but it seems to be broken. The specs I have are an 11th gen i7 and a 3050ti. Help needed!

Have you already tried everything and nothing worked? It might be best to return it and claim the warranty. Your location may affect eligibility—just locate your receipt and reach out to them. I’d avoid wasting time unless you send it in; make sure your device has any charging or indicator LEDs, and let me know what they display.

You’re looking for places that could glow when control comes into play, but they don’t seem to. Is this truly your only option? And if it isn’t included? What do you think next?

Are there any warning indicators? Consider using BIOS recovery. My Latitude 5480 experienced this after a failed update; it wouldn't start until I restored the BIOS via a recovery USB. https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us...-or-tablet You can verify your warranty status by entering your Service Tag on the support portal.

I reviewed the article and attempted BIOS Recovery 3 for laptops, pressing Esc and CTRL while holding them down. The device remained inactive with no lights or sounds.

Remove the bottom cover and disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. (Keep the AC adapter detached.) After that, reattach it and attempt again.

That would cancel the warranty. I’m not looking to cause any more issues. Thank you for the details—I’ll make sure to note my next steps in the forum.

Hey there, that actually worked! I had to gather some tools and remove the back cover from my laptop. I wasn’t expecting to do this, but it came off without a hitch. The battery was easy to disconnect, so I held the power button for a minute. Then I reassembled everything and turned it on—success! This is the video I watched to double-check the removal process.
