I concur with @TheKDub, he is correct regarding the default password. When you first log into Windows, it prompts for account creation and a password. Do you believe this is the default one? In reality, it is the setting you see. If you lost your Windows login password, consider using ophcrack or similar recovery tools, or look them up on Google.

You didn’t need to connect your login to a Microsoft account initially. On earlier versions you had to do that, then set up a local user after boot and remove the Microsoft one. Things have changed, now you can just click “I don’t have an account” and skip it—now a clean local setup works well.
