When playing Fortnite, the game runs smoothly at 144 fps but experiences brief drops to around 30 or 14 fps. On the network status screen, lines fluctuate and sometimes red indicators appear. After these issues, performance returns to normal. The same happens with CS GO, where it often jumps between 200 and 130 fps. I don’t have similar problems in Destiny 2, Paladins, Deceit, or Apex Legends. It seems my old router is likely the cause.

The router's age and manufacturer are unknown. In certain games, lag management among players becomes crucial, as a slow player on the server can disrupt gameplay.

I don't have a switch at home, but I can help you identify the brands available.
