I have upgraded my home office setup with all the features to play nearly any game, except at the highest levels. I really enjoy my battlestation.
However, I spend a lot of time with my family in the living room, away from both my office and my desktop.
I want to be able to play games in the living room without sacrificing the quality of the experience.
Should I invest in a gaming laptop or opt for a slim laptop and stream from my custom PC at the office?
If you choose
BUY
, which gaming laptop would you suggest?
If you choose
STREAM
, what slim laptop would you recommend, and how should I set it up to stream to that device?

Some system guidelines for me:
- 17-inch screen – I’m older and need a clear display.
- Ryzen processor – I’ve been on Team Red for nearly two decades.
- Budget – $1000 to $1500 is ideal, around $1,000 would be perfect, and I could go higher if it really fits.
- Preferred team colors – 1660 Green or 570 Red (either works).
- RAM – at least 16GB, so I can upgrade without hassle.
- Thanks everyone!

It might make sense to relocate your battle station to the living room and switch to a standard home office setup. It seems more affordable, though streaming could add delays, and maintaining two gaming systems comes with its own expenses.
