Hello everyone, I've been exploring the concept of getting SC similar to what I've had for a while now (still in Alpha). Could you share the approximate storage space an SC would occupy on a HDD? Also, what's the expected file size once it's finished? Regarding the Arena Commander pass, I want to know what playability benefits it provides right now. I've heard about a new social area added recently in the game. Lastly, can I earn in-game currency at the moment? If so, will it remain accessible after the game officially launches? (I'm aware this might be a bit delayed.) Thanks in advance.
30gb atm Edit: Arena Commander pass provides exactly that. The social module seems like just a tech demo. You can earn REC to rent gear and ships. UEC isn't available yet, and you likely won't be able to keep it.
Hello! The current storage size is approximately 30GB due to the recent launch of the social module. An initial rough calculation suggested the total could reach or exceed 100GB once completed. If you purchase a package that includes the Arena Commander pass, you'll gain access to the dogfighting module (featuring some racing maps), the hangar, and the social module—available to all ship owners. For online matches in AC, you'll earn REC: credits, which can be used to rent ships and weapons for AC play. This helps you become familiar with them or try out ships before purchasing. I’m not certain if the REC system will continue after the Presistent Universe launch, but it seems likely to remain only for AC, which functions more like an in-game simulation.
