The Crew
Likely the sole Ubisoft title from last year that performed well. Extremely enjoyable!
I own it on my PS4 and it’s an incredible title. Visuals are about a 7 out of 10, but it’s not a simulation—it leans more toward arcade action. There are countless missions to explore, so you’re unlikely to get bored. It’s not a free-to-play game; earning money requires effort, but it won’t ruin your experience. I highly suggest giving it a try. -Brandon
I enjoyed the beta and believe it's worth the investment. Personally, I didn't see enough value to justify any reduced price.
Well then, I really don't like it. I only played it once and I think I'll never want to play it again. I don't find anything enjoyable about the game. If they're aiming for a good racing experience, at least make it worth getting behind the steering wheel. The "upgrade" feature is just terrible, and the graphics aren't enough to call it next-gen in my opinion. Still, check out some YouTube videos to see how it's played—see if it matches your gaming style. But for a race game that you can play with just your left hand on the keyboard, it feels completely off.
I just got it and here is my short review I am at lvl 6, I am comparing it to beta (I was LVL 20 or something there) Driving: It got much better from the beta, the car turns well, grips, unsettle. it is still arcady, I did not dare to try it with keyboard, I am using a £15 Rock Candy Xbox 360 controller Sounds and music: with a proper headphones they are great, the engine noises are good, the music choices are great, although the music could be a little louder World: Massive. just massive and beautiful Story: it is there. a meh, not the reason why you should buy the game Uplay: it is okay, I like the idea of the rewards for achievements, for example you can get a car (Dodge viper) for 100 achie points that you earn from any games you play graphics: it is not a crysis 3 and I do not expect it as well. This game is the successor of Test Drive Unlimited 1/2. those games were beautiful and not because of the details but because of the accuracy and the design. Same here, accurate enough, has a great feeling. It is as good looking as the Guild Wars 2 ultra compared to The Witcher 2 ultra settings. My HD 7770 and FX 8320 can play it stable 30 fps high settings at 1080p
