I've been attempting to locate my bios password using regedit but haven't succeeded. Then I turned to Google suggesting Credential Manager for Windows 10. Now I reach the stage where I think I should see it, yet only get error messages or similar. When will this work now?

You won't be able to locate the BIOS password inside Windows. Use tools like regedit or a credential manager. You'll have to contact the person who originally set it. We can't provide further help on this matter.
