Hi
I’m facing an issue that seems linked to the OC (22x, 4.4Ghz). It might be possible to increase it further, but the socket temperature stays extremely high—around 68-70°C even when the core reaches only about 50°C. Usually, adjusting the multiplier on other motherboards makes the CPU idle again.
I’ve enabled all power-saving settings, switched to power phase control, LLC, normal, auto, optimalised, and even extreme modes, but nothing changes. The voltage is set to manual (1,2875), yet it behaves the same as others; the OC isn’t working properly.
Turbocore is off, but when activated under load it locks at 4.1 GHz or drops lower if set to a lower value, returning to the original multiplier at idle (22x). When auto mode is selected, it functions correctly, yet I can’t reach higher clock speeds even with the Turbo Core enabled—when MP is set to 22x or 24x, it caps at 4.13 GHz regardless.
The BIOS appears to be from version 1502. Anyone have any suggestions? Or am I using a faulty motherboard?
By the way, the PC won’t enter sleep mode—it jumps back on instantly. The shutdown button works fine, but when I force a shutdown via command prompt, it doesn’t respond. All wake-up options are disabled. I’ve tried removing components, but nothing helps. Fast boot is also disabled even during Windows updates.
I’m wondering how to turn it off—should I use the shutdown command? Any advice would be appreciated.

start by resetting your BIOS, then observe whether you still experience power-up problems
on FX CPUs with the downclock feature named Cool & Quiet
it should be turned on automatically
after the BIOS reset, if the CPU fails to downclock, verify your power plan in Windows settings

If I use the default setting or allow the multiplier to adjust automatically, it functions properly. However, when I manually change the multiplier to any other value, the clock speed remains unchanged for some reason. The board includes an EPU and TPU switch, but turning them on doesn't affect this behavior.

Update: The Windows settings were changed to performance mode, which should improve things. Still, sleep mode isn't available on this PC.

Thanks for your assistance.

sleep mode is connected to BIOS (ACPI suspend type)
s3 supports regular sleep
s4 enables deep sleep (also known as EUP)

Could your PSU not be compatible with it? I'm having issues with the ErP function in the BIOS, even though it does nothing, and I can't locate anything related to other states.

Yeah, it's usually about bios. Didn't you reset the bios?

Yes, I did. But it still turns on immediately when going into sleep mode. All wake-up options are disabled, even in device manager across every device. For a long time the shutdown wasn't working, but now it is possible to turn it off with some success. I discovered an old article about the same problem, which also had no solution and might occur after updating the BIOS; reinstalling the older version didn't fix it.

instagram wake-up might be caused by network cards or usb devices
test by unplugging the network cable and checking if it remains asleep

I've already attempted it. Disconnecting everything didn't help. I removed the PCIe Wi-Fi + Bluetooth card. I tried a clean boot without any third-party services running at startup. I also tested safe mode with network settings enabled and disabled, but the issue persisted. Tomorrow I plan to modify the registry.
