When taking out the cooler from a Ryzen CPU for future use: 1) Start by booting it briefly to make sure the paste feels warm and smooth, reducing stickiness. 2) Gently twist the cooler before lifting it up. 3) Avoid pulling straight up—slightly tilt it; the pins are likely gold-plated or coated, making a chemical reaction unlikely. The discoloration is probably just leftover residue from the alcohol evaporating.

It's the solder mask, the green coating, that's covering the PCB and only slightly faded.
