The CPU indicator is present, yet the system starts without issues.
I own a Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX ICE with a Gigabyte MB LED that has been on continuously for about a week. When the PC is off, the LED stays lit. When I power it up, the CPU indicator lights up without any problems or instability. About a month ago there were power outages and voltage issues in my area. I apologize, my English isn't great—it's not my first language.
Is it a DRAM rather than a CPU? Should I check both RAM sticks in BIOS? If you start your PC with just one stick, does the LED stop lighting? My mistake—I didn’t catch it right. Do you have the most recent BIOS update? It seems there’s a strange issue with F36, released on July 31, 2025.
The debug LEDs are optional and won’t affect performance when functioning correctly. They appear mainly when issues arise, often resolving after a complete power reset—such as shutting down the power supply for a short period.
I updated the BIOS to version F36 last hour, yet the CPU indicator remains active. After running a few stress tests, everything passed successfully.
I recall a similar problem earlier, but I’m not sure exactly which motherboard it was. It might have been an X870e from Gigabyte. It seems like a BIOS issue that doesn’t affect performance. I’d consider reporting it to Gigabyte just to confirm it’s a bug and ensure it gets fixed.
Power off and turn off the PSU switch, hold the power button for 30 seconds. If the issue persists, perform a complete CMOS reset. Also verify you have the most recent BIOS for your B650 board. As long as temperatures and performance remain normal, it’s likely just the board staying on the LED indicator.
